Norton isn't in Wise county, it is a city all by itself and has no ties to the county.

My hats off to them, they did playa good game, but it still doesn't erase the fact that it has taken a long time and I do realize they are only kids playing, the "ribbing" is for all the fans. As always, I only do and say things as I did as a motovator for them. The kids are great,I know several of them and know their attitudes. By me saying that it took them 28 years just means that they should take "real" pride in that trophy. Now that they have the "taste" of being a champion, then maybe they can go on and win it all.

That may be true, but In the mid to late 70's they were the best of the best. One day, folks may be saying the same thing about Appy and PV. But, Clintwood isn't a bunch of loudmouths...and in HS when we played them I respected them..along with Appy and GC and that was it. Not everyone is in the club of elite teams from this area..but those are...even if it was in the past.
